BNNT / Radwan Ghazi Moumneh - A Faithful Daughter CD [PRE-ORDER]

Recorded at Hotel2Tango in Montréal in December 2018, A Faithful Daughter brings together Lebanese-Canadian composer and musician Radwan Ghazi Moumneh with Polish experimental duo BNNT, Konrad Smoleński Konrad Smolenski and Daniel Szwed. BNNT have been working across experimental music and contemporary art since 2008, developing a practice that extends from records into installations and live performance. Moumneh, founder of Jerusalem In My Heart and co-founder of Hotel2Tango, has spent decades developing a singular approach to Arabic musical traditions and experimental sound. Across four long-form pieces, the three musicians build slowly shifting structures from electronics and percussion, with Moumneh on buzuk and voice. Recorded eight years ago, these sessions have remained unreleased until now. The album features four original texts by Montréal writer Olivia Tapiero, written in response to the music, and was mastered by Harris Newman Harris Newman.
